
Boise leads Gold Rush shippers

A field of ten horses will contest the $100,000 Eddie Logan Stakes in DRF’s feature Race of the Day at Santa Anita.
The Eddie Logan, a race named in honor of the long time shoe shiner to the stars at Santa Anita, and affectionately known around the track as “The Footman,” will be run at 1 mile on the turf for 3-year-olds.
Wong stablemates Boise, Unreal ship in for Eddie Logan
Boise, one of two for trainer Jonathan Wong, will be making his third start on turf and first try at Santa Anita.
The last out winner of the Gold Rush Stakes over Golden Gate’s all-weather, Boise will open as the second choice in the field at 4-1 with Flavien Pratt in the saddle.
Unreal, a winner at first asking sprinting 5 furlongs on turf at Golden Gate, will open at 8-1 in the Eddie Logan.
C’Mon Man bred for turf
Also shipping in from a fourth place finish in the Gold Rush is C’Mon Man. He’ll be making his first start at Santa Anita and first on turf. He’s a two-time winner at Golden Gate on the all-weather and will wear blinkers for the first time.
Euro expat Maglev debuts in U.S.
Maglev will open as the 5-2 favorite in his first start since arriving in the U.S. from Europe.
Trained by American trainer Mark Glatt, the son of Galileo Gold has 1 win from 5 starts in the U.K. and is sitting on a best of 24 1/2 mile work in :47.3 last week at Santa Anita.
Post time for the Eddie Logan Stakes is scheduled for 7:35 PM ET and will go as race the final race on the 10 race card.
