Big Beautiful Wall Hits Bottom

A field of ten older horses will contest a low-level claiming race going 1 mile as the DRF feature Race of the Day at Parx.

Big Beautiful Wall will open as a slight favorite dropping to the bottom of the barrel to start the new year for $5,000 N1Y.

Since this is only day three of 2022, the conditions don’t really matter all that much.

Jamie Ness will saddle the three-time winner, with back class as a consistent in the money turf horse looking for his fourth lifetime win. And for the connections, a chance to unload and recoup some of the $32,000 they spent claiming this now 6-year-old son of Chattahoochee War out of the Broken Vow mare Mending Wall back in June at Churchill.

My Man Elvis is in the house

My Man Elvis ended last year with a runner-up effort here at this level. He’ll start the new year trying to improve on that effort and his past successes at Parx.

Elvis will open at 9-2 for trainer Louis Linder who is saddling winners at a 25% clip when giving the leg up to jockey Ruben Silvera to end 2021.

Post time for the Race of the Day is scheduled for 2:25 PM ET and will go as race 6 race on the 10 race card.
