2015 Preakness Stakes

The field for the 2015 Preakness Stakes includes Kentucky Derby winner American Pharoah, Firing Line, Dortmund and five other runners.

Here’s the field for the 2015 Preakness Stakes headed by the top three finishers of this year’s Kentucky Derby.

American Pharoah is the 4-5 favorite and has drawn post position 1 for the race. His stablemate Dortmund who was third in the Derby after setting all the early fractions is just outside in the 2 hole. Derby runner-up Firing Line has drawn widest of all for the Preakness.

The field also includes Bodhisattiva the local runner and winner of the Tesio Stakes as well as Tale of Verve who was an impressive maiden winner in his last race and Divining Rod who was the fast closing winner of the 2015 Lexington Stakes at Keeneland which will host the 2015 Breeders’ Cup for the first time since switching from Polytrack back to dirt.
