Meadowlands cancels Friday and Saturday Turf Racing

meadowlandsThe Meadowlands has cancelled their turf races for Friday and Saturday. All races carded for the month of October at the Meadowlands are to be run on the grass but heavy rains from Hurricane Joaquin are expected along the East Coast this weekend. Meadowlands officials forced to make changes to their racing calendar just one day into their 2015 turf meet.

Meadowlands Opening Day Races Complete

The Meadowlands was able to run 6 thoroughbred races on the turf on opening night of their 2015 turf season which runs through the end of October. You can see the Equibase results for opening night here.

The track is dark on Sunday but racing is scheduled to resume on Thursday of next week and run through and including Monday, October 12. You can see the complete racing calendar for the the turf season here.
