Never the ones to be left out of a good excuse to party, New Orleanians flocked to the Fair Grounds on Thanksgiving to show off their talent for taking horse racing hats contests to a whole New Orleans level.

From the city that never sleeps and brings throngs of spectators to the marvel of Mardi Gras with all its glitz, glamour and gaudy costumes, comes the annual Thanksgiving Day revelers in their wild and wacky hats, reminiscent of days gone by in the Big Easy.
