Super Saturday Racing at Belmont Park

super-saturday-belmontBelmont Park’s Super Saturday of racing offers plenty of stake race action and is highlighted by the G1 $1 Million Jockey Club Gold Cup at 1 1/4 mile.

The winner of the Gold Cup will receive automatic entry into the starting gate for the $5 Milliion Breeders’ Cup Classic at Keeneland later this month.

The 38-day meet at Belmont Park presents two Super Saturday programs and is the highlight of the fall meet.

The first Super Saturday of 2015 was held on September 26 when 5 stakes races were run including the Joe Hirsch Turf Classic and the Vosburgh, both G1 races and Breeders’ Cup “Win and You’re In” events.

You can watch the replay of the races here.

There are several other graded stakes races on today’s card including the G1 Flower Bowl Invitational, the G1 Champagne Stakes, the G1 Frizette, the G2 Kelso Handicap and the G3 Hill Prince.
