Breeders’ Cup Classic Runner-up On the Mend

Last year’s Classic runner-up Toast of New York has been on the mend since getting beat a nose to Bayern in the 2014 running of the Breeders’ Cup Classic at Santa Anita.

A soft tissue injury he sustained earlier this year has prevented him from training and will keep him away from the races in 2015.

After last years Classic he was sold to Al Shaqab Racing with the intention of running in this year’s Dubai World Cup but the injury has made that mission impossible and he is now being pointed to a return to racing in 2016 at Meydan for the World Cup.

Al Shaqab Racing manager Harry Herbert informs us that “he’s in very good form” and that trainer Jamie Osborne is pleased with the progress he’s making.
