Preakness Stakes Probables & Free Past Performances

The 2017 Preakness Stakes probable contenders are lining up to challenge Kentucky Derby winner Always Dreaming for the second leg of the Triple Crown series. And there’s no shortage of quality in what will be a much smaller field for the Preakness on Saturday, May 20 at Pimlico.

Leading what may well be a ten horse field is the 2017 Derby winner who will be heavily favored to wear the blanket of Black-Eyed Susans in the winner’s circle after the race.

In the Derby, Always Dreaming took advantage of a sloppy track that favored front runners to score a win for trainer Todd Pletcher who was making his second trip to the winner’s circle in the Kentucky Derby.

The weekend forecast for the Baltimore area has it 50/50 that there will be heavy thunderstorms on Friday afternoon, decreasing to a 20% chance of rain on Saturday.
